At Infinite Rainbow Behavior Solutions (IRBS), our behavior technicians are passionate professionals who have completed a minimum of a 40-hour training in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), have successfully passed a competency assessment on ABA principles and have received a passing score on the Registered Behavior Technician exam through the BACB. All behavior technicians are regularly supervised by an IRBS BCBA on a weekly basis and engage in ongoing professional development and education. Behavior technicians are responsible for the direct implementation of skill-acquisition and behavior-reduction plans developed by the BCBA. There are also opportunities for behavior technicians to conduct certain assessments and develop reports under the supervision of a BCBA. Behavior technicians are not responsible for developing client programming. It is the responsibility of the designated BCBA supervisor of the behavior technician to determine which tasks the behavior technician is ready to participate with depending on their training, experience, and competence.
